Where were you in 1998? (In celebration of StarCraft)
I was 12, and in middle school.
I remember coming into English and the son of the teacher (who was in my class) was playing StarCraft on one of the old Macs. It didn’t run very well (it’s a Mac, har har) but I remember seeing it and being blown away.
It was like watching Star Wars from the ground or something similar. Gruff space battles with dreary music and dark over/undertones. It was much different than other sci-fi games I’d played.
A very unique experience for me. Eventually I got it myself and sucked at it.
I still suck at it!

I used to play that game until 4 am during the summer. Several of my friends had it as well.
