How did you get started in design? — Asked by Anonymous

I’ve always been an artist. Been drawing and painting since I was a wee child. I started with making Final Fantasy and Star Wars collages in MS Paint, and eventually migrated to Photoshop, around Photoshop 4. This was probably when I was 9-10 years old. My father told me to ditch paint and try Photoshop instead.

Since then I’ve been working and learning in Photoshop nearly every day. I started making websites in Front Page & Dreamweaver, posters, wallpapers, etc, and have been for 15 years! Granted most of it was probably rubbish at first, but impressive for my age. I started really coming into my own around 13-15. From there I’ve been working nonstop.

Professionally, I’ve been designing for freelance and other projects since 2004.
